Running is a beloved hobby for many, but it’s usually not the only thing that weekend warriors do with their lives. Many runners have full-time day jobs or play additional sports in efforts to stay fit. But one marathon runner in Wisconsin has a far more important job to do: serve on the bench as a Justice of the Wisconsin Supreme Court.

Jill Karofsky, who was recently nominated for the position, was officially sworn in while running an ultramarathon at around the 35-mile marker. She kept on running while taking her oath, and was even able to pose for a picture at mile 99 (she stopped this time). At least in Wisconsin, Americans do have a right to a speedy trial.
