Our annual Month of Giving request

It is hard to believe that Garrison retired from A Prairie Home Companion radio broadcasts seven years ago, in 2016. He certainly has made great use of the extra time — among other things, publishing six books (Living with Limericks; Lake Wobegon Virus; That Time of Year: A Minnesota Life; Boom Town; Serenity at 70, Gaiety at 80; and Cheerfulness) and making more than 130 appearances, including ten A Prairie Home Companion performances (with ten more to come).

Two and a half years ago, we began our relationship with Substack, a newsletter platform, where Garrison can write directly to you and share new ideas and events. We also dug into our archive, keeping the legacy of The Writer’s Almanac and A Prairie Home Companion alive.
