The world has become a very different place this week, and the speed of disruption was fast and furious. As the coronavirus crisis continues to unfold, the foodservice industry will only get through this time together – as people first and businesses second.
We are with you – now more than ever.
How to access what you need:
- All coronavirus content produced by our award-winning editorial team will be open across our websites, regardless of whether you subscribe to our platforms. We will not gate content at this time. Service journalism is imperative, and you will find news, data, resources, leading voices, best practices and solutions. There are additional touch points on social media, through our podcasts and soon via video, free webinars and special industry Town Hall conversations aimed to get teams through this time, second to prepare for business recovery, and finally to thrive in the future.
- If you are a print magazine subscriber, we want to make sure you are still receiving your issues even if your location has changed. We publish 48 magazines a year between Nation’s Restaurant News, Restaurant Hospitality, Food Management and Supermarket News. That frequency means content is timely and relevant to aid you and your teams. We will soon provide a link to all magazine subscribers so that you can quickly change your delivery address if your working location has changed.
- And during this time, we will make the digital edition – an online page-by-page format of our printed magazine – available to all subscribers.
There are signs everywhere that this industry is still strong during what may very well be the most challenging and fraught moment of history for foodservice. Hospitality is thriving in delivery and takeout operations, restaurants’ commitment to community is ever-present in the offering of free meals to healthcare workers during this pandemic, or children during these school closures. Healthcare foodservice is on the front lines, and grocery and supermarkets are essential businesses offering jobs and a lifeline to food and supplies. Chefs, managers, CEOs and suppliers are coming together as best they can to save the paychecks of millions of people that drive our economy.
There is no better time than now for thought leadership, communication and commitment – to each other, our teams, businesses and the wider foodservice and retail ecosystem. Conversations must remain robust to bring people and business together to facilitate short-term aid, drive immediate innovation so restaurants can serve customers facing their own new realities, and bring leadership lessons to life at a time when we cannot have enough strong leaders.
Media is a powerful force in storytelling, solutions sharing and collaboration, especially at a time when we cannot easily shake hands and exchange information face-to-face. We are committed to having the conversations we all need right now to support restaurants and foodservice. We are committed to you.
Please do not hesitate to reach out to me directly if there is a way we can be of service to you, your teams or your business. We will get through this together. Stay healthy. Stay connected. |
