You don’t have to wait until 31‌‌‌ January‌‌‌ 2025 to file your return

Filing early means receiving your refund sooner if we owe you money. If you need to make a payment, however, knowing in advance how much to pay makes budgeting easier for you.

Paying any tax you owe

There are different ways to pay your tax bill, safely and securely – including through the HMRC app.

If you can’t pay in full by 31‌‌‌ January‌‌‌ 2025

If you can’t pay in full, we may be able to help by arranging an affordable payment plan. Our short YouTube video 'How to set up a Time to Pay arrangement online for Self Assessment' will guide you through each step.

You’ll find more information on our help and support pages.

Yours faithfully
