We've found a new home!

The future of tool lending in Ottawa is bigger, better, and brighter! 🏘️🔥 ️

On March 1, 2021, we will be taking occupancy of an ideal space at 877A Boyd Avenue, just south of Carling Avenue, north of Hwy 417, close to the Canadian Tire store. It will take about a month to set it up, but we hope to start loaning tools and running workshops out of the new 2,400 square feet location by early April. Yes, that is bigger than our old location, which means that we can do so much more as the pandemic restrictions lift this year! A huge thank you to Square Lemon for passing on this incredible location to us. We also want to thank everyone who entered our online contest to guess the new location! We chose three winners at random who will be receiving an OTL bag of merch!

How you can help 💪💸🚚

We are once again asking for support to help us get back up and running as quickly as possible. You can make a monetary donation via our website, although as a registered non-profit we cannot provide tax receipts. This will make a huge difference and will support the costs of moving and fitting up the new space (paint, signage, shelving, dust extraction, and utilities). A loan of a 5-ton truck - and driver - for one day to move our tools from storage would be amazing. You can also support us by buying a membership. Keep in mind, memberships only start with your first visit to OTL. So if you buy one now, you're not loosing any time on your membership duration.
All current membership holders as of Dec. 1st, 2020, will also be credited time once we have a firm opening date. More info to come.

We are so grateful for the incredible patience, diligence, donations, and contributions of our members, volunteers, and community supporters. When we were evicted from City Centre, our Ottawa community has been amazing: hard work, generosity, and kindness allowed us to store our tools safely while we searched for a new home. Now, when we open, we will have more space, great ideas, and a fantastic location to make it all a reality.
