| True & Fair slams UK’s financial services regulators
We have an interview with InvestCloud this week, a firm that tries to keep the digital experience in balance with human interaction in wealth management. Mark Trousdale, chief growth officer, at InvestCloud says that it is hard to keep relevant as an asset manager through performance alone and delivering on the human aspect can help with that. Performance, and better performance at that, is what is needed from the UK’s financial services regulators say Gina and Alan Miller, whose True & Fair campaign launched a new report this week entitled ‘Asleep at the wheel’. The report, subtitled ‘An expose of systemic regulatory failure and consumer detriment in the UK financial services sector’, lists a number of cases of failures and scandals and calls for a review of the fitness of FCA CEO Andrew Bailey to be the next governor of the Bank of England. Other news this week comes from Sparrows Capital which has launched a platform-based model portfolio service for financial advisers. Commenting on the launch, Sparrows Capital CEO, Yariv Haim, says: “There is no valid reason why a client investing GBP100,000 in a model portfolio should pay 10 times as much as another client with GBP10,000 in the same portfolio.” Finally, please vote in the Wealth Adviser European Awards 2020.
