Regional wealth management firms merge

Two Carolina-based wealth management firms announced plans to merge last week, expanding clients' access to financial planning services and a digital platform that supplies real-time data from anywhere in the world.

New pandemic relief programs open to S.C. businesses

S.C. Manufacturing Conference & Expo:
Aerospace Economic Impact Study

The S.C. Council on Competitiveness will unveil the results of a statewide economic impact study during the S.C. Manufacturing Conference & Expo at 12 p.m., Oct. 29. This year, the Expo is going online, including keynotes from economic development officials, industry leaders and others devoted to ensuring the viability of manufacturing in the Palmetto State.

VentureSouth establishes Furman angel network

Greenville-based angel investor group VentureSouth has helped launch an angel investor network in which Furman entrepreneurs can tap capital offered by investors also linked to the school. So far, 10 investors with Furman links have joined the network, which is expected to grow to 30 or 40 members.

The Countybank Foundation has completed its final donation installment of $6,500 to Anderson Interfaith Ministries, according to an Oct. 6 news release, fulfilling its pledged donation of $23,000 over three years.
