One downside to these early Europe games is that you have to make some lineup decisions well in advance of some of the biggest injury questions this week, and that's an issue for Week 10, for sure. The biggest lingering injury question as of Sunday at around 9 a.m. ET revolves around the status of Bengals wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase , who is very much a game-time decision with a back injury. |
Demario Douglas and Josh Downs might be easy pivots for you if Chase were ruled out, but we won't know that for like a few hours at this point. That makes for some incredibly tough decisions that you'll have to make, and in one league, I'm probably going to just have to roll with JuJu Smith-Schuster instead of Chase this week because he's my only legitimate alternative. |
It's a rough spot to be in, especially because the Patriots and Colts don't exactly have many must-start options. You're starting Rhamondre Stevenson and Jonathan Taylor in all leagues, most likely, and Zack Moss is in the RB3 discussion, with Ezekiel Elliott a little lower still; Michael Pittman is the only must-start WR from this matchup, and neither of the quarterbacks are much more than QB2s. It's not a matchup with sky-high Fantasy expectations, for sure. |
Today's newsletter has my updated rankings based on what we know as of 9 am, along with the latest injury notes for every position. Of course, you probably still have some questions that might not be answered here, and you can head to Twitter and use the hashtag "#AskFFT", where our whole team will be answering questions all morning. And, at 11:30 a.m. ET, the whole FFT team will be live on the FFT YouTube channel until kickoff answering all of your questions in the chat. |
Now, here's everything you need to set your Week 10 lineup, plus the latest on injuries and more: |

QB rankings and injury updates |
There really aren't any QB injury situations we're monitoring as of Sunday morning, with Kyler Murray cleared to return from his torn ACL. I'm being a bit cautious with my ranking of Murray, and I'm starting Jared Goff over him in at least one league for at least this week. We know Murray has top-12 potential, and the fact that his recovery time from the injury was relatively lengthy suggests he should be a bit further along than many other quarterbacks in their first game back from a torn ACL, but I'm just a bit worried about rust and a lack of running game usage early on. |
The other situation worth watching today is with Joe Burrow's weapons. We already know he'll be down at least Tee Higgins (hamstring), and it sounds like even if Ja'Marr Chase (back) does play, he might be limited. Burrow did average 23.3 points in six-point-per-pass-TD leagues with Chase inactive over four games last season, though he did have Higgins available to step up as the top option. Can he do it again with maybe Tyler Boyd as his top option? I'm a bit more skeptical, so I'm ranking him as a low-end QB1 for this week. There's always upside with a great QB like Burrow, but there's a significant amount of risk this week, too. |

RB rankings and injury updates |
There aren't many RB injuries we're watching Sunday, with James Conner and David Montgomery both cleared to return from their multi-week absences and ranked as solid RB2s for this week. Kenneth Walker (chest) also has no injury designation after missing practice earlier in the week, so he's in that same range -- I'd start both Montgomery and Conner, as well as Jahmyr Gibbs, ahead of Walker, whose role has been limited of late, but he's a fine starter in his own right. |
Dameon Pierce (hamstring) remains inactive, which should push Devin Singletary back into a lead role, however he had just 4.6 PPR points while playing 75% of the snaps last week, and is just a touchdown-or-bust RB3 at this point on a Texans team that just hasn't gotten anything out of their running backs all season. |
Keaton Mitchell (hamstring) sounds like he's going to play after getting a full practice session in Friday, and the Ravens acknowledged earlier in the week that he's probably earned more opportunities after his Week 9 breakout. I'm not starting Mitchell if I can help it, but he's a high-upside bench stash who very well could force his way into a Fantasy-relevant role with how explosive he looked last week. |

WR rankings and injury updates |
Chase's status is the biggest thing we're watching Sunday, and it sounds like he's a true game-time decision, with Ian Rapoport reporting Sunday morning he is "50-50 at best to play." Chase is dealing with a back injury that limited him during practice, and even if he does play, it sounds like he would do so at much less than 100%. If Chase is active, it's going to be hard to go away from him, but my expectations are considerably lower than they would normally be. |
Some early-morning notes to know about: Demario Douglas and Josh Downs are both active for the 9:30 a.m. ET start, and both are in the WR3/4 range of the rankings for me. If I didn't have any good options playing later, I would probably just role with both ahead of Chase, though I do have my concerns about how much Downs is likely to do -- he didn't practice all week before being cleared Sunday morning. That just strikes me as a risky proposition after he left last week's game. |
Justin Jefferson (hamstring) was not activated from IR for Week 10, but could be back for next week. He has said he won't play until he's 100%, so we'll probably need to see some full practice sessions before he comes back -- he was limited each day this week after his practice window was opened up. |
On the good news front, Deebo Samuel (shoulder), Drake London (groin), DK Metcalf (hip), Jaxon Smith-Njigba (hip), Robert Woods (foot), Curtis Samuel (toe) and Christian Watson (back) are all expected to play Sunday, and you can see where I've got them ranked below. KJ Osborn (concussion) cleared the concussion protocol, but it sounds like he's not guaranteed to play this week. He probably isn't worth the risk unless you're desperate. |
If you are desperate, go see if Woods is available, because he's rostered in just 10% of CBS Fantasy leagues but had at least nine targets in three of his first five games before the injury. With Nico Collins (calf) ruled out, Woods could be in line for a strong role in a Texans offense that has spread the ball around all season. Tank Dell is a solid starting option coming off his breakout Week 9 and with Collins out. |
One other thing to note: Michael Thomas was arrested and charged with a misdemeanor after an altercation with a man near his home, but was released and is expected to play Sunday. He's in the WR3/4 range if he plays. |

TE rankings and injury updates |
The big news here is that T.J. Hockenson (ribs) is expected to play. He was limited throughout the week with the injury, but maintained that he would play all along, and it looks like that'll be the case. The Vikings play at 1 p.m. ET against the Saints, so we'll know early enough that you should be able to pivot if he is unexpectedly inactive, and I would be looking for Trey McBride (79% rostered), Jonnu Smith (59%), Cade Otton (45%), and maybe even Irv Smith (7%) with the Bengals' injury issues. |
