Those users may have thousands, even millions, of files across SaaS applications. Similarly, there may be hundreds of channels and groups across SaaS applications. Some of them may contain external members. Some may contain internal members who should no longer belong because they’ve moved departments. It’s impossible to break down that data unless IT can perform complex queries against the database(s) to return specific results in real time. To discover relevant data points, IT needs the ability to interact with the database via filters of some sort, in order to find objects based on their attributes.
For example, if IT wanted to identify spreadsheets across all SaaS applications that have been shared externally, it would first need the ability to filter down to files, then filter down to spreadsheets specifically, then filter down to spreadsheets that have been shared externally. |
