This week's successes | This week’s winners’ list is a collection of everyone who’s let us know they’ve won in the last couple of weeks while I’ve been away travelling...
The one we’re most envious of is Sharon who’s won a wonderful Maldives getaway with Barrhead Travel: “Just been told I have won a 9 night holiday to the Maldives. My first win.”
Sharon’s full prize is a 3-night all-inclusive beach and ocean villa stay for two at 3 different Adaaran Resorts in the Maldives. It includes return flights from the UK and speedboat and seaplane transfers.
Joanne got in touch with a first win as well: “Happy to share that I have had my first win. We have just enjoyed a night at the doubletree by Hilton Cadbury House with dinner at the Marco Pierre White steakhouse. We then enjoyed breakfast, time in the spa and a nice lunch at the Bardolino’s Italian there. Oh, and a bag, apron and cookbook too! Feel very lucky…”
Kate let us know about TWO successes since the start of the year: “…Absolutely thrilled! Had 2 wins since January: 2 nights DBB at Tewksbury Hall Hotel (£650) and 3 nights in a camper van (£300)… Thank you to everyone… This is a reminder to keep entering. Good luck!”
Mary is another lucky double winner so far this year: “So excited to have won a last minute competition for a stay ... at Carlton Towers in North Yorkshire.. We are celebrating our meeting 43 years ago. It looks amazing.” The prize included breakfast, 3-course dinner with fizz, and an exclusive historic house tour.
Mary’s second win was with Great Northern Railway for their “Destination Dash” Instagram comp: the prize is a 200-mile off-peak return journey to use on Great Northern, or Thameslink, Southern or the Gatwick Express.
Colin was another rail operator winner: “Got my first decent win in a while…. Two first class LNER train tickets and 24 bottles of beer… not sure (which I’m) most excited about.”
Our Facebook group has seen at least THREE lucky winners of the yearly Daily Mail and Jet2holidays competition recently. Congrats to Lauren, Nicolle and Sarah who’ll all be enjoying sunshine weeks at Jet2 hotels with return flights and transfers included.
Joy won a Hilton McLaren Instagram competition: “Delighted that I have won a 2 night stay with Hilton… The prize is a 2 night stay anywhere in a hotel of the winners choice and a McLaren Tumi Accessory kit. So I have chosen to stay at a Hilton Curio hotel in Milan as my little family are travelling to nearby Lake Garda area for 10 days in April/early May and we had a few nights unbooked! Looking forward to exploring Italy!”
Kristina let us know about her first travel win of the year - a 2-night stay in a private hot tub room at Titchwell Manor in Norfolk, including champagne on arrival, breakfast both mornings and a 3 course meal on one evening.
Kensa won two tickets to ABBA Voyage at the ABBA Arena in London, plus tickets for an exclusive drinks reception event and Q&A on the night.
And finally this week, to Lucky Dan who sent an update on one of his wins: “A lovely night at the Muckross Park Hotel & Spa in County Kerry, Ireland, near to Killarney and in a National Park. We had dinner, breakfast and spa treatments included. The spa was beautiful, we were so relaxed after our treatments and dinner was magnificent - the goats cheese shaped like a leaf.”
