As the COVID-19 pandemic is a growing concern, we continue to welcome customers to our restaurants and want to share our approach to keep both our team members and guests safe. First and foremost, employees do not work when they are sick, under any circumstance. We are pleased to provide sick pay to all of our employees. In addition, top-notch safety procedures are an integral part of our daily routine and are monitored by a licensed food service manager during all hours of food handling and cleaning, before and after our business hours. Procedures are reviewed with every team member prior to every shift and include: Wash hands frequently and after each of the following events At the beginning of a shift Dirty dishes are removed from a table Payment processing (both cash and credit card payments) Eating or drinking We practice double hand washing. Team members are required to wash hands a second time in the kitchen or dining room after using the bathroom. Sanitize surfaces Tables and highchairs after each use Telephones, POS terminals, and keyboards in the offices after each shift Kitchen surfaces throughout the shift Social Distancing, as recommended by the CDC. In addition to the daily safety steps we take, we are also reducing the amount of seating at each of our restaurants to allow greater social distancing. This is recommended by the CDC as a precautionary measure. This, of course, limits the number of larger tables we can accommodate. We will continue to monitor the advice and guidance from the CDC and WHO. What guests can do. We encourage our guests to wash hands frequently, avoid touching your face and please stay at home if you are sick. We do have delivery available via Caviar Monday–Thursday. We look forward to welcoming you to our restaurants and appreciate your support. Most importantly, be well. Your Chicago Diner Team, Mickey, Jo, and Michael |
