Read Duncan's joyful analysis of the game here. Water? Check. Batteries? Check. Gasoline? Check. Now's the time to get ready for a possible hurricane forecast to hit Louisiana later this week. The system is expected to grow into a tropical storm today and may reach hurricane strength near the middle of the week as it heads to the northwestern Gulf Coast. It could bring life-threatening storm surge and damaging winds near the border of Texas and Louisiana beginning Tuesday night. When Sito Narcisse came on board as East Baton Rouge schools superintendent in 2021, he remade the school system leadership, hiring a number of new administrators, many from out of state. Narcisse is now gone and the new man at the top, LaMont Cole, is taking a different approach. As staff writer Charles Lussier reports, Cole is examining what’s happening on the ground before making major changes. “Most people work top down. I’m working bottom up,” Cole explained.
