When it comes to tossing touchdowns against Utah, no BYU quarterback has thrown more than former Heisman Trophy winner Ty Detmer.
Here are the stats from 1988-1991 for Detmer:

“They (Utah) are a different program now. They have done a great job building it,” Detmer told the “Y’s Guys” podcast this week. “They weren’t known for their defense during that time. It was a different day and age. It was just one of those things where we had the upper hand, and we knew it.”

Inflation continues to be top worry for Americans. Will that change how they vote?
Inflation is the top economic concern of Americans heading into the 2024 election, with almost 9 out of 10 saying they are very or somewhat worried about inflation.
More than 55% of responding adults said they are very worried about "inflation."
Here are some other key findings from the survey:
88% — the combined percentage of respondents who are either "very worried" or "somewhat worried" about inflation.
90% — the approximate percentage of respondents with household incomes less than $100,000 who are at least "somewhat worried" about inflation.
67.5% of Republicans are "very worried" about inflation.
40.7% of Democrats are "very worried about inflation.
Does the president impact inflation?
Inflation can result from supply chain issues or a number of other issues, like the amount of money spent during COVID under two different presidents of two different parties.
“If I were going to pick an institution, it would be the Federal Reserve, but I suspect it was difficult to keep a lid on inflation coming out of COVID,” Brigham Young University political science professor Jeremy C. Pope told the Deseret News.

Historically, private landowners and outdoor enthusiasts tend to clash. But an access dispute in Cardiff Canyon is bringing unlikely friends together.
What's the issue at hand?: The conflict involves a dispute over motorized access on a road crossing both private and Forest Service land. Landowners have used this road to access their properties, but with the lapse of a special use permit, motorized access is now restricted, impacting recreationists and property owners alike.
How the groups responded: These groups have formed a coalition to negotiate with the Forest Service, seeking a renewed agreement that respects private property rights while maintaining public access.
Negotiations are complicated by jurisdictional issues between federal and county agencies, delaying progress. The outcome aims to balance recreational access with environmental conservation and legal agreements.
“We want to provide reasonable access under the law, and we would like to see the recreating public get the opportunity to travel legally on on some sort of access route, whatever that might be, to gain access to national forest that is above the private land.” Dave Whittikiend, supervisor of the Wasatch-Uinta-Cache National Forest said.
