| The dangerous rhetoric from RFK Jr. (our new Secretary of Health and Human Services) and Elon Musk (our unelected billionaire-in-chief) about the 13% of Americans on SSRIs is, frankly, beyond disturbing. As many of you know, LF was born out of a particularly dark postpartum period of mine, when a therapist suggested I return to my old love of embroidery—alongside a new regimen of Lexapro. I’ve been incredibly outspoken about the efficacy of the drug because, quite simply, it saved my life. You can read more about my journey here. When people in power spread dangerously false and misleading narratives, the best thing we can do is work even harder to normalize mental health and fight the stigma. Our collaboration with Kenneth Cole last year did just that. Today, we’re reissuing our Almost Normal and I Have Issues sweaters and sweatshirts, which raise money for the Mental Health Coalition, while also introducing new ones, including SSRIs Saved My Life and Anxious—Do Not Pet.
