How to land (or change) a tech job
November is How to Land a Tech Job Month of Technical.ly's editorial calendar, so what better way to kick things off than with an AMA with a professional tech job facilitator?
Dana Ledyard has spent two decades in the workforce and education industry, advocating for equitable tech recruitment of talented young women and students from neglected communities and schools. She recently left a VP of strategy position at Baltimore-based tech talent solutions platform Catalyte to become COO for the nonprofit CodePath, which runs free, industry-backed software engineering courses on college campuses and primarily serves historically underrepresented students in tech.
Over in the #ama channel of Technical.ly's Slack tomorrow — Tuesday, Nov. 2 — not only will we chat with her about how tech recruitment works and can as an industry improve, but what inspired her own career change. Get some insight on how you can tell when it's the right time to make your own leap, or ask her anything else (as the name denotes), if you join us here from 12 to 1 p.m.
