A California lawyer was killed on his first wedding anniversary with his wife

California attorney Elliot Blair was killed on Saturday while he was celebrating his first wedding anniversary with his wife at a popular resort in Mexico. Local media reported that Blair died after he accidentally fell from a roomat the Las Rocas Resort and Spa.

That is not, however, the picture that is being painted by a friend and colleague of Blair who insists that he “was the victim of a brutal crime.” That individual has created a GoFundMe campaign and revealed that Blair’s family is working with US Officials to gain more knowledge about the incident.

“Elliot was a compassionate lawyer who dedicated his life to serving indigent clients. Elliot was known as a patient and caring advocate. He was the best of us and was loved by countless members of our office and the Orange County legal community. We are heartbroken,” read the campaign.
