Plus, how to save $ at a destination wedding
With the Supreme Court expected to overturn Roe v. Wade by the end of the month, HuffPost has been featuring stories about abortion care all week. I have to say, editing this story by senior reporter Brittany Wong was very enlightening: It’s about how the conversations about abortion are missing the important voices of trans and nonbinary people. So often, we talk about abortion as being a woman’s issue; women’s right to choose. But as Jack Meraxes, a trans man who had an abortion and spoke to Brittany for this story, said so poignantly, “Reproductive bodily autonomy is not just a women’s issue ― it’s a human issue, because every person capable of getting pregnant deserves the right to determine what happens to their body.” Xo, Ashley Rockman |
