By Bob Warren We’re deep into Day Two of digging out from Hurricane Ida. Feels like a month already. Hang in there, friends. It’s a long road and we’ll be tested. But we’ll make it. So here’s some big stories from this morning: You’re wondering what’s open. Where you can get food, gas. We’ve got a list - check back often.Here’s the first of what will surely be many stories about how to apply for FEMA assistance.The city’s opening food and water distribution sites. Here are the major roadways that are open.Add St. Charles Parish to those places struggling to restore water service.And couple of stories from overnight out of St. Tammany: Authorities say a man might have been killed by an alligator; and nine people were brought to a hospital suffering from carbon monoxide poisoning.Finally, our graphics whiz Dan Swenson has this nicely detailed map showing where Ida came ashore, its track and some of the damage it wrought.This is just a glimpse of our Ida coverage.
