Biden has taken several steps to provide relief to student loan borrowers since taking office, but has expressed reluctance to bypass Congress to deliver sweeping debt forgiveness. Proponents of debt forgiveness including Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., and Sen.
