It’s been a wild week for Northern California. If you follow the news at all, you’ll know that most of us have been lodged for a bit too long as a result of the perennial deluge that’s come to the West Coast. Normally, we wouldn’t dream of complaining about being forced inside with our books and made to cancel all social obligations, but we’re starting to go a little Yellow Wallpaper, if you catch our drift. People are surfing in the streets of Emeryville, trees are toppling in Golden Gate Park, and many people are struggling to go to work. If you’re looking to help, here’s a list of food banks and shelters that could certainly use the assistance.
In sunnier news, our first event of the year will be announced shortly. It’s a doozy of a collaboration with some of the most prominent arts organizations in the Bay Area. Until then, try to keep your head above water, and take the time to check on your favorite characters. |
