TODAY'S TOP STORY What to watch in April Don’t want to waste precious time looking for something to watch? Let me point you straight to the good stuff! Here’s everything new this month that’s worth a stream. Netflix Hello, black leather, bullets and Keanu: All three “Matrix” movies are on Netflix this month. If that's not your bag, “Happy Gilmore” with Adam Sandler is always a hole-in-one. Or treat the kids to “Hotel Transylvania” (and then “Hotel Transylvania 2”). Watch for new seasons of “The Circle,” “Heartbreak High,” “Spirit Rangers” and “As the Crow Flies.” Oh, and don’t forget all four seasons of the adventure series “Black Sails.” No need to pirate it! Hulu Lots of cool movies hitting Hulu this month, including the star-packed thriller “Don't Worry Darling,” the Coen brothers’ classic “The Big Lebowski” and DC Comics blockbuster “Wonder Woman.” As for series, check out new seasons of “We're Here” and “Ugliest House in America” — you know, for when you wanna feel better about your fixer‑upper. Amazon Prime Video You’ve got the ‘80s classic “Top Gun,” the ‘90s hit “Titanic” and the 2015 Bond flick “Spectre.” Or pay homage to the ‘70s with the latest movie in the “Exorcist” franchise, “The Exorcist: Believer.” Thanks, I’ll pass. As far as shows go, your best bets are all seasons of “House” and the latest video-game-to-TV adaptation, “Fallout.” I swear there’s a new adaptation of something every day. Max If you have an extra 20 hours on your hands, binge all eight “Harry Potter” movies on Max this month. There's a ton of other great stuff, like this year’s Oscar-winning “The Zone of Interest” and 2003 classic “Lost in Translation.” Ooh, maybe I’ll watch that when I’m missing Japan. New show “The Sympathizer,” which is about a spy in the Vietnam War, is an early winner, plus catch all-new seasons of “Moonshiners” and “The Jinx.” Disney+ The movie highlight on Disney+ this month is “Wish,” the latest animated flick sprinkled with Disney's magic. Fantasy adventure series “Renegade Nell” is another fun one for the family. It's from the mastermind behind the hit Brit TV crime show “Happy Valley.” Or catch the brand-new animated throwback, “X‑Men '97.” Apple TV+ I loved “Masters of the Air” and “The New Look.” I didn’t really get into “Manhunt,” which was about Abraham Lincoln’s assassination, but Barry did. The first season of “The Reluctant Traveler with Eugene Levy” was fantastic and funny, but this new season is horrible and boring. 😅 What’s the difference between Wolverine and Paul Bunyan? One’s a Hugh Jackman, and the other’s a huge ax man. (I know you laughed.) |

WEB WATERCOOLER AI election interference: Microsoft confirmed what we all knew: China and North Korea are using bogus content on social media to influence your vote. They targeted Taiwan's elections as a "test run," using AI audio and memes to sway votes. This stuff works, folks. Don’t trust anything you see on social. Sounds about right: Amazon's "Just Walk Out" tech promised we could skip the checkout line using AI. Turns out, about 1,000 workers in India were watching live footage since the AI wasn’t up to snuff — 700 out of every 1,000 transactions needed a human check. No surprise, they canned the whole project. 🔄 Android upgrade: Google's “Find My Device” network is finally working for some folks. It’s Android’s version of Apple Find My. Hooray — you can now track lost items with special Bluetooth trackers if you have access. It’s a gradual rollout, though, so check your Settings app to see if it’s available for you yet. 📱 iOS 18 exclusivity: Apple's “biggest update yet” comes out in June, but if you're rocking an iPhone 8 Plus or older, you're out of luck. Eligible models? The XR, XS, iPhones 11 to 15, plus the second- and third-gen SEs. If you want those new AI features, it’s time to upgrade.
