Good evening

So what would you do if you were Prime Minister?

As Boris Johnson prepares to make an announcement on Monday regarding what is being termed the ‘roadmap out of lockdown’ - what would be your priorities?

Would you be concentrating on getting schools up and running to ensure the best possible education for our children or would you be thinking about the nation’s mental and physical health and leaning towards re-starting sports and opening gyms?

Would the economy be your focus - ie opening up non-essential shops, hairdressers and barbers. Let’s face it, most of us could do with a haircut.

Or would you, as one astute reader has put it, forget politics and leave it to the scientists to interpret the data, offer their advice and then follow it?

Whatever the PM decides to do on Monday, let’s hope we don’t go back into that divisive tier system.

If we open up the different sectors at the same time across the country, at least we will all feel that we are being treated fairly at last.

Until next time, stay safe,

Gillian
