It’s the first chance you can get a glimpse of the team up close and personal as the Saints hold their first training camp practice open to the public. News of the Day The bad news is Trevor Penning wasn’t available for practice. The good news is the injury doesn’t appear to be serious. Here’s what Dennis Allen had to say about the latest setback for the second-year offensive tackle who missed 11 games as a rookie. It's hot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The heat took its toll on two players who had to leave practice early. Beat writer Luke Johnson tells you more about that in his training camp observations for Day 2.
