🔹 Why rubber shock cords can fail (and when to avoid them)
🔹 The most resilient materials (such as Kevlar® and tubular nylon)
🔹 How long your shock cord should be (hint: longer is better!)
🔹 Preventing "zippering" (plus our new Zipper Shield solution)

Launch of the Week!

Launch of the QuickDraw Rocket

This week's Launch of the Week simulation in the Launch Visualizer, is the Quickdraw rocket being flown on three E-sie motors. I also launched it from the site of LDRS-43, near the town of Helm, California. I'm getting prepared to attend that launch in May, and I wanted to know what the field was going to be like. Check it out, and maybe I'll see you there!

Customer Testimonial Customer Comments

“Cadet programs is my specialty, not model rocketry. I want to have my cadets earn their model rocketry badge. I do not have the first clue about model rocketry, so I went online and checked with Apogee. They went above and beyond on explaining items I might need. Their newsletter archives had an article on setting a program, and gave me tips so my cadets can enjoy the program. Their support has been awesome. I have called, emailed and used online chat about questions I had. They took the time to answer and put in the right direction to resources. I salute you and will be customer for life.”

I'm now actively seeking writers for articles to appear in this newsletter. And I want unique and cutting-edge articles because that is what you want to read, right? I realize this, so to get articles from outside writers that have the same level of quality, I'm going to have to pay a lot of cash to make it worth it for them. So I've come up with a compensation package where I'll pay up to $350 for good how-to articles.

Are you a writer, and does that interest you? That is a lot of cash! Far more than you'll get by writing for other magazines. And with over 23,000 worldwide subscribers, if you write for the Peak-of-Flight Newsletter, you'll gain a lot of notoriety. Writing for the Peak-of-Flight Newsletter is a great way to show off your rocketry projects and your technical expertise, at the same time as helping out other rocketeers. Imagine how great you'll feel knowing that you made a difference to the hobby.

If you're interested in writing, see the guidelines on our site.
