President Donald Trump has turned up a pressure campaign against Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell to lower interest rates, weeks ahead of the next decision.

The latest line of attack comes from Office of Management and Budget Director Russell Vought, who publicly called Powell out for allegedly mismanaging the renovation of the Federal Reserve’s Washington headquarters.
