Who opens Orange Stage in 2022?

It's been a while since we last sent you a newsletter. It's not because we've been sitting on our hands. On the contrary. We've been busy planning a festival while at the same time waiting for things to clear up (in regards to the pandemic which we're pretty sick of talking about, so let's not...).

We've been really busy booking lots of music acts. This week we're really opening the goodie bag!

Today, we're kicking things off by focusing on the foundation of it all. That's the big talent pool which offers a lot of fantastic new music. They're tripping to come out and show what they can do on a live stage in front of an audience. We've handpicked 19 acts who will play our Rising and Countdown stages for upcoming talent. Who knows, one day one of these acts may just be opening the Orange Stage?

And speaking of Orange Stage... we have a massive talent who is ready to open that stage. She has grown with rapid speed in recent times so she's flying directly onto the Orange Stage. Read more about her below.

Drew Sycamore will open the Orange Stage in 2022

Danish/Welsh artist Drew Sycamore has been here, there and everywhere on the Danish music scene in the past year. And there's a reason for that. Her pop music is like a big rotating disco ball that reflects multi-coloured pop perfections and lights up the world and makes everybody dance. She masters broad-spectrum drama with punch and show. And she has proven her worth on the live stages where her songs get an extra notch of energy. It only seems right to let Drew Sycamore open the Orange Stage at Roskilde Festival 2022.

19 new acts show promising talent

The superstars of the future are to be found in the growth segment. That's how it has always been, and we've always seen it as our duty (and pleasure!) to make that extra effort for the stars of tomorrow. Lots of trendsetting acts have played shows very early in their career on our talent stages Rising and Countdown. Now, we're ready to present half of the talent programme in 2022.
