The mid-term election has come and gone. As expected, Louisiana played no great role in the scheme of national politics, though a few officeholders could potentially benefit once results are in from across the country. Start at our elections page for results and analysis.

Noise complaints against a downtown bar have drawn the attention of city-parish officials. A hotel and a property owner have lodged complaints about noise from Happy's Irish Pub. It's the first case to come up after renewed attention on who should enforce noise ordinances.

And LSU continues to rise from the ashes of a one-point loss to Florida State to start the season. The Tigers climbed in this week's CFP rankings after beating No. 6 Alabama.
