Hey there! I mean, let’s get real: everyone has a course these days. And though you may feel the pressure to have a course of your own, you don’t need one to make it as an online business. BUT, adding one to your offerings could be really great for your biz. Here’s what I know about online courses: A course will help you develop your expertise. There’s nothing like getting into the weeds to help you hone in on what you’re great at, and become even better at it. When you take the time to pick apart and reassemble your expertise, through creating a course that will teach others, you become better at it, too. It will help you share your expertise with more people. When working one-on-one, you can only reach so many people at a time. With an online course, your reach extends so much further. It will position you as the expert. When you’ve written the thing, and it’s good, you’re an expert. Period. A course could help you funnel more buyers into your premium offering. It’s easy to turn a looker into a buyer of a smaller-priced offering, like a course. Then, once you wow them with your expertise, it’s easier to sell them on working with you directly. You have their attention, you just have to take the action. They’re big projects with lots of steps and a commitment to see through. This is always the sticking point with creatives. And without the proper guidance, your course will likely sit in your file folder forever more. I’ve seen it far too often, which is at the root of what I created this course. You need to get your expertise into the world. Here’s is why I made one that will help you make your own: You need a step-by-step process. Creatives need close guidance to get them from start to finish with a project as big as a course. If I’ve learned anything in my years of helping creatives build courses for themselves, it’s that. You need the process. First do this, then do this, from how to pick your topic to how you sell it to your people. That’s what Online Course Alchemy does. You need a course that addresses the content and the technical. You not only need help figuring out your topic and developing your content, but you need to know how this thing will go out to your people, and preferably from someone who speaks the same language as you. I’ve got your back. You need the guidelines, but the flexibility to make it your own. I don’t dive into platform specifics, leaving you boxed in to the rules we provide. I won’t pigeon-hole you into a specific set-up, leaving you unable to build your course the way you want. Instead, I’ll give you the steps with room for you to interpret as needed to create the course that you want to share. I know everyone has a course (because they work!). And I know there are a gazillion courses out there on how to create courses. But this one is different; it’s built with you in mind. Not some platform or service, or even a specific kind of content (like video!). You get the guidelines and the freedom to create how you want.
