☀️ Tuesday will be another hot, breezy day. Temperatures will again sore into the 80s with 90s west. The hot, dry, windy conditions will make for yet another day of critical fire danger.

🔥 Red flag warnings are posted again for western Minnesota Tuesday afternoon and evening. Relative humidity will drop below 20 percent along with the highest winds in the west at 15-30 mph.

💨 We’ll see reduced air quality for much of central and western Minnesota again by Tuesday afternoon and evening with the hot, sunny conditions reacting to create increased ozone in the lower atmosphere.

National Guard called in to battle fast-growing northeastern Minnesota wildfires

Scores of residents of northeastern Minnesota have been forced to evacuate their homes as several large wildfires grow and spread. Hot, dry and windy conditions are helping fuel the blazes. Gov. Tim Walz is calling up the National Guard to help local, state and federal firefighting crews battle the wildfires.

But after the campaign launch, three separate families came forward at different time periods claiming to be the affected family.

🏀 Edwards, Randle lead the way again as Timberwolves beat Warriors 117-110 for 3-1 playoff series lead. It's back home to Minneapolis for the Wolves with a chance to clinch the best-of-seven Western Conference semifinal series in Game 5 on Wednesday night.

🗳️ May 13 special elections in Minnesota. Elections are being held Tuesday for races in Orono, Traverse County and Mora schools. Referendums are being held in Slayton and Unorganized Township 63-17 in St. Louis County, as well as school districts in Cedar Mountain, Chisago Lakes, Fulda, Kingsland and Windom.

🏥 UnitedHealth Group CEO steps down; suspends 2025 outlook on higher-than-expected medical costs. CEO Andrew Witty is stepping down from his post for personal reasons and the healthcare giant says it’s suspending its full-year forecast due to higher-than-expected medical costs.

🤒 Measles cases rise to 11 in North Dakota after two new infections reported in Cass County. Both individuals who contracted measles were unvaccinated and caught the virus while travelling internationally. One of the individuals is currently hospitalized.
