In the aftermath of LSU's three-point loss to Alabama, coach Will Wade's frustrations with the officials finally boiled over. As our Sheldon Mickles detailed from Tuscaloosa, Wade has been reluctant to discuss his displeasure with the officiating since the start of Southeastern Conference play — until the 70-67 loss Wednesday night. When asked about a questionable no-call on an apparent goaltending, Wade just about lost it, saying, "It didn’t look like it ... it was.” However, as upset as he was with the officiating, Wade felt equally as proud of the effort his players showed in nearly erasing a 13-point deficit. They'll need to play with that kind of passion again Saturday night at Tennessee. The gymnastics home met scheduled for Friday against Arkansas was postponed because of COVID-19 issues within the Razorbacks' program. All of LSU's meets have been affected by coronavirus protocols in some way. Once LSU can compete again, it will rely heavily on Kai Rivers. The junior has returned from an Achilles injury to provide leadership for the team. Coach Jay Clark called her "our alpha." That's all for now.
