Meanwhile, James from Yarmouth used a new way to decide how much to contribute. Last week he shared that he is donating “one dollar over and above my subscription for each day I read the BDN.”

We're asking for support during our year-end sustainability campaign because local news organizations have been gutted over the past 20-plus years. The old business model of paying for news with ads and subscriptions doesn’t cover the cost of reporting anymore.
