William Darby, Huntsville police officer who remained on city’s payroll after murder conviction, reportedly resigns

Darby, who was convicted of murdering Jeffrey Parker in early May and drew widespread condemnation for being paid by the city for more than two months after the guilty verdict, reportedly stepped down Friday.
