Lunds & Byerlys Wines & Spirits is pleased to announce we have hand-selected two new bourbon barrel whiskeys for your enjoyment.
The first comes to us from Heaven’s Door, an award-winning collection of handcrafted whiskeys developed in partnership with Bob Dylan. Each bottle of Heaven’s Door showcases Dylan’s distinctive welded iron gates he created in his studio, Black Buffalo Ironworks.
Our team tasted a range of bourbon and rye options from Heaven’s Door to come up with the perfect blend. Comprised of 80% bourbon and 20% rye, this barrel produced a limited 360 bottles. Coming in at 93.6 proof, we find this blended whiskey to be exceptionally smooth and full of character. The perfect glass to settle in and sip. Called the “Highway 61 Blend,” you can find it at all our 11 Wines & Spirits shops.

Our second barrel comes to us from Pinhook, which is named after the racing horse Bourbon War. Pinhook is crafted at Castle and Key Distillery in Kentucky and ties together a love of bourbon, horses and horse racing. Our barrel select is part of their Bourbon County True Single Barrel series, which produced 199 bottles. It has a mash bill of 75% corn, 20.5% rye, and 4.5% malted barley and a 112.9 proof, higher than the Heaven’s Door blend. We found this barrel to be strong, bold and mature.
