GM’s January U.S. Sales Reflect Truck-Hungry Market

GM sold 198,548 light vehicles in January, compared with 195,827 last year, according to WardsAuto data. In terms of straight volume, the automaker’s deliveries grew 1.4%.

The Fiat brand fell the most – 45.5% to 1,229 vehicles – and the rest of the portfolio wasn’t much better. Dodge was down 33.9% from year-ago, while Chrysler struggled as well, down 24.0%.
