Worcester and PawSox sign letter of intent to build $90M stadium |
|
Worcester is proposing a ballpark in the Canal District for $86 million to $90 million to attract the Pawtucket Red Sox to the city. The AAA minor league baseball team and the city have signed a letter of intent to build a 10,000-seat park to open by 2021, officials from the team and the city announced at a press conference in City Hall. The deal still requires approval from the city and other entities like minor league baseball's International League.

Boston women's hockey team relocates to Worcester |

The Canadian Women's Hockey League announced Monday the Boston Blades hockey team is moving to Worcester. The team will begin play at the Fidelity Bank Worcester Ice Center for the upcoming season after previously playing at Winthrop's Lawrence Larsen Rink.

Worcester airport to land new service |
|
A new service is being added to Worcester Regional Airport, state and local officials confirmed Thursday. Worcester County Sheriff Lew Evangelidis, who sits on the MassPort board, told WBJ a new airline would be flying out of Worcester.
