Massachusetts voters approved a new law legalizing recreational marijuana in November, but communities across the state are pumping the brakes, as nearly a dozen Central Massachusetts communities have passed a moratorium or ban on recreational marijuana facilities.
Do you want retail pot stores in your town?
Yes. It will be a good revenue and economic activity generator.
Yes. We should encourage retailers of all types to do business in our community.
No. Retail pot stores don't fit in our community atmosphere much like certain businesses such as strip clubs.
Not at this time. We don't know enough yet about how these stores will operate or the tax revenue they will generate.
