Pressure is rising on the European Commission, which has opened multiple investigations into X and other social media giants since fresh EU content moderation legislation entered into effect in August 2023. If any of these companies are found to have breached the new law the tech giants can face fines of up to 6% of their global revenue, but Elon Musk has vowed to fight it.
