GoPro cameras are fantastic for capturing photo and video just about anywhere imaginable. But there’s just one flaw! The sound quality pales in comparison. This GoPro EarShot microphone concept is designed to be just as tough. Even when there’s wind and vibration, you can record expert audio on all your adventures.

The EarShot fits right in to the current line of Gopro mounts and equipment both in function and form. Wind is cancelled out by the integrated, fabric-covered wind guard. The microphone itself is isolated from vibration by the internal shock mount. Octopuses (octopodes, octopi) are extremely intelligent creatures. They’ve been known to correctly predict the future, escape from the tiniest of openings, and even open jars… from inside! They now add another trick to their arsenal of awesomeness. Holding your toiletries with their eight rather useful arms!

The Octopus Shower Caddy isn’t obviously a real octopus, but it takes inspiration from the animal, providing 8 rather handy arms (tentacles?) that conveniently hold onto your personal toiletries from your shampoo and shower gel, to your moisturizer and hair serum. Made from silicone, the arms do a good job of gripping even the smoothest bottles without letting go of them, allowing you to access all your essentials without accidentally knocking things around or spilling containers with your wet hands… because puny human is clumsy. Mighty octopus is not!

Perk Up with Scenty

The best part of waking up is the smell of coffee in your cup! That unmistakeable scent alone is enough to get your gears moving. Designed with this in mind, Scenty Presso is a twist on the coffee maker that deliberately helps perk you up with the scent of coffee.

It utilizes Balmuda’s innovative evaporation tech to infuse water with coffee. After combining the grinds and water in the reservoir, simply turn it upside down and a fresh cup will instantly begin to pour into the cup. At the same time, an internal fan system will blow upward, over the freshly brewed beans and fill your kitchen with the warm aroma of a fresh brew.

“User can make coffee easily by putting mixed coffee grounds and water into it. After making coffee, used coffee grounds are used as diffuser. Consequently, using scenty presso means reduce of waste, recycling and drinking coffee more pleasantly”, designer Taeyeon Kim told YD.

“Recently, BALMUDA devveloped a new humidifier and natural evaporation technology is used. Structure of scenty presso is inspired by the technology. Natural evaporation technology is based on natural evaporation phenomenon. Adding power of wind on this, it can improve the effect of product.”

“Basic motive of the product is “hour-glass”. Inspired by hour-glass’s using experience, I put it in my design. By rotating scenty presso, user can transfer the coffee to the jar and simple touch will operation and adjust the product. Scenty presso has 3 steps of aroma strength and it can be adjusted by touching the button.”

“User can seperate the product. Detach the coffee jar to store in the fridge. There is a rubber cover which can cover the top of the jar.”

Unveiling the world’s first ‘Hipercar’

That isn’t a typo. It’s literally called a HIPERCAR, because that’s an acronym for HIgh-PERformance CArbon Reduction! Designed by Ariel Motor, and unveiled only a handful of hours back, this beast currently under wraps with a release date of 2019, but the guys at Ariel decided to give us a look at what they’re up to, and even with just two renders, I’ll say, I’m floored.

Built with an aluminum chassis and an edgy, drool-worthy, split-surface aesthetic that embodies absolute rage and dominance (made in carbon fiber, we suspect), the car will be powered by an electric drivetrain augmented by a microturbine range extender, and will come in two-wheel and four-wheel drive variants… the latter having a 1,180 bhp output, which will help propel the car from 0 to 62 mph in a staggering 2.4 seconds, with a top speed of 160 mph.

Everything about this car however is tentative, including the name (which we love, honestly), and only time will tell what this car will look and feel like, and be called, when it debuts at the end of this decade. However, it’s our job to keep you informed, to stay tuned!

This card is a computer!

Intel’s slick little card isn’t for swiping at the ATM. It isn’t even for using at the library. In the correct setting, it can pretty much power an ATM or run a library… because it’s a computer in a card! Intel’s Compute Card launched this month and it is literally the future. Built with Bluetooth and Wi-Fi capability, a host of processors (including the 7th Gen Intel Core vPro), and a 4GB DDR3 RAM, this card is a machine capable of turning any gadget into a smart-gadget. Or you can even literally use it as the world’s smallest portable PC!

Aside from giving your electronic appliances and peripherals a whole lot of data processing power and internet connectivity, it was also designed to be easily upgrade-able. Just by pulling out the old card and putting in a new card, Intel promises a future where electronic devices will never grow obsolete and will only need to be replaced when they’re broken. Until then, all you have to do is literally shuffle cards… well, Intel Compute Cards!
