A rectangular Pokéball for pigments Posted: 02 Apr 2018 12:00 PM PDT Smaller, sleeker, and much more powerful than its predecessor, the Pico is our favorite Cube’s younger sibling. The size of your finger, Pico puts color knowledge at your fingertip, letting you record hues and shades from around you, to use as inspiration or reference for your work. Partnering with the Pico app on your phone, you can record a vast multitude of colors from around you, giving them your own names, creating a color library of your life. Pico’s small size makes it easier to carry around with you, and it even comes with a hole for a lanyard, letting you hang it around your neck! A simple single button interface allows you to ‘click’ colors by simply placing the Pico directly on top of the color you want to capture and hitting the shutter button. Pico’s color matching engine allows it to perfectly capture color values, and even cross-reference them with color guides and standards, so whether you use those colors digitally or in print/paint, you know that what you see is what you get. Designed in black anodized aluminum, the Pico feels incredibly slick and premium and we’re putting it on our must-buy list for all designers! Designer: Palette |
The Digital Nomad 35 Has a Pocket for Everything! Posted: 02 Apr 2018 06:55 AM PDT Whether you’re a minimalist, or the kind to carry your life around with you, the Digital Nomad 35 backpack has a way of fulfilling your needs. Made for a small but demanding audience, the Digital Nomad is for the working wanderlust, who wants to travel, but work while he or she does. How does one bag cater to someone who focuses on both professional and personal lives? With pockets. Loads of them. The way the Digital Nomad deals with segregation is that it compartmentalizes the entire bag space so that no two categories of luggage really interact with each other. Your socks, notebook, and DSLR have separate areas of storage because they must. This also means even if your bag is half-full, your stuff won’t rattle around inside because they all have their separate enclosures. Built for the work-play overlap, the bag was made to carry all types of items. Its spacious interiors are great for as many as 10 pieces of clothing (it comes with compression straps for when you want to carry less), and around it lie various pockets for your keys, cables, chargers, power banks, and even your camera. Opening from both sides, the bag uses its back-space for your laptop, iPad, notebook, etcetera. The Digital Nomad 35 comes in black and gray variants, made from Cordura and Vecoya, both being incredibly resilient, water-repellent, and eco-friendly. A low-poly world map on the bag acts as branding while also doubling up as a reflective patch that allows your bag to be seen in low-light conditions. Designed to be used as a hand-held bag or even a backpack, the Digital Nomad 35 comes with an overall clean design, hiding even its shoulder straps in a pocket of their own. Pop them out when you hit the trails, and you can even use the detachable waist-strap when the trails get steep. The bag comes with its own rain-cover, stowed in its bespoke pocket, and even integrates a concealed-yet-easy-to-access RFID blocking pocket for your wallet, cards, and passport. Designed in partnership with DNX Global, an international community of dedicated digital nomads who spend months working while traveling, the Digital Nomad 35 was designed for the 95th percentile, and was made to withstand the most demanding conditions and needs. So whether you’re a regular joe who travels between cities or an absolute professional wanderlust who hikes mountains between skype calls, know that the backpack has you covered. And with its endless number of pockets and compartments, you’re never really going to run out of space! Posted: 01 Apr 2018 10:10 PM PDT Sure, the Waterbook notebook concept is minimalistic, matte, and has all the aesthetic touches you might look for in a distinctly PC laptop. However, what sets it apart is an innovative notifications feature highlight that’s built directly into the body. See if you can find it! The side of the computer is actually a scrolling marquee display. You’d hardly notice it if we didn’t point it out! This is where notifications for messages, emails, date, time and any other information you choose to alert will appear. This way, you save battery and stay on top off all your important to-dos. No word on what makes up the guts yet but we’re loving this tiny tweak that makes life a little bit easier! Designer: Onurhan Demir |
Posted: 01 Apr 2018 08:50 PM PDT Designed as an intermediate solution between dry cleanings, the Wearoff is an uber-convenient appliance you can quickly use to freshen clothes. The barely-there unit’s vertical form is easily stowed in any closet or laundry room. Simply hang your garment and activate the cleaning mechanism with the smartphone app. The steamer underneath it will blast the clothing with cleansing steam and anion particles to free it of any contaminants and bacteria. The design also includes a vacuum unit that can be used to remove dust and other particles with interchangeable brush heads adapted for different clothing types. Designers: Taekwon Yeon, Jisu Yun, Hyelin Yu, Jiyoung Shin, Hanna Yoo & Daeun Yoo The ‘ring’ shaped hanger is used for ‘Air Clean’, which automatically deodorize clothes through anion particles. Meanwhile, the ‘bar’ shaped hanger can be used while manually removing dust using the handy vacuum. The handy vacuum is located in the lower body along with the vacuum inhalers and removable dust cartridges. Has four specialized nozzle brushes for each different textile to remove dust efficiently without damaging. |
Posted: 01 Apr 2018 05:32 PM PDT Meditation isn’t something to be rushed and holding your body in the correct position for an extensive period of time isn’t at all easy. However, UNDO might just solve this. Designed to hold the user’s body in an ergonomic position, they are able to sit close to the ground for a prolonged period of time, without any discomfort. And UNDO rocks, literally! The cushion, which has been engineered with multiple layers of foam compresses as the user sits down, gently rocking them forward to align their hips and back. The form of the cushion has been carefully considered in order to avoid the ‘hippie’ aesthetic that is often associated with meditation. With the help of its playful shape and natural color palette, UNDO will look no more out of place than any other item of furniture in the room. Designer: Jordon Diatlo |
