See your future gift in action today.

Hi John, On August 1st, at the beginning of National Make-A-Will Month, we launched the KQED Legacy Challenge to help fund the future of inclusive, participatory and community-powered public media in Northern California. Generous friends of KQED have created a pool of matching gift funds. Their goal is to encourage our supporters, members, viewers and listeners to include a gift to KQED in their will or estate plan — and offer them the chance to see their future gift in action right now. |
|
|
The Bay Area depends on KQED as a critical source of trusted journalism and quality programming, and we in turn depend on the Bay Area community’s support. With the help of passionate, engaged friends like you, KQED will have the long-term financial security to pursue the stories that will be told in the future. |

If you’ve already shared your future gift with us, thank you! We’ve been inspired by our supporters who have stepped forward to accept the challenge. But if you’re still considering whether to create a legacy gift or haven’t yet told us about yours, you still have time to participate. It’s simple to create a personal and meaningful legacy: | 1. | Create or update your will or trust to include a gift to KQED, or name KQED as a beneficiary of your retirement plan, life insurance, donor-advised fund or other estate plan. | 2. | Let us know! | 3. | When you confidentially share just a few details about your gift, an immediate matching gift of up to $10,000 from our Legacy Match Challenge sponsors will be activated in your honor. |
| Every gift of every size matters. That you would consider such a deeply personal and significant gift means a great deal to us. And when you include a gift to KQED in your will, we promise to protect your privacy, support your right to change your mind at any time, use your gift as you intend and preserve access to public media for future generations. |

| With gratitude, | | Michael J. Isip President & CEO |
