JILLIAN MICHAELS CAUSED A STIR WHEN SHE COMMENTED ON LIZZO'S WEIGHT

Twitter came out in full force, with many defending Lizzo and decrying fatphobia and body-shaming in general, while others agreed with Michaels (who posted a response to the backlash on Twitter). A WORD FROM OUR HOSTS

ZACH: What a week back! From Senator Chris Murphy to Jamie Oliver, we had quite the raaaaange of content. But speaking of Jamie, I must say: that was my favorite moment of all week. I have a big food background and there's a version of my life where I am a chef — so it was incredible to cook with one of the greats. Jamie has so much energy AND he got me to actually like a cucumber, which is a feat. Also — and maybe most importantly — there is now video footage of my very good knife skills that people never believe I have. Boo-ya.

ALEX: Can you believe we're only about a week into 2020!? There has been so much *news* packed in already. As a devoted fan of the show "You" on Netflix — and former "Gossip Girl" stan — it was a highlight to talk to Penn Badgley about the new season as well as his activism. The best part was when he agreed to read iconic voiceovers from both of the shows (even with an "XOXO, gossip girl" for good measure). Hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend and gearing up for the week ahead. ✌🏻
