Locals rally to raise funds to buy back iconic Leederville cafe sign

A few weeks ago, several awnings along Oxford Street in Leederville were given a spruce up and replaced. But in the course of that upgrade, an iconic piece of the cafe strip's streetscape went missing. Locals love the sign and want it back in the community where it belongs. Homeless centre defends expanded hours after violent brawl

A fight broke out in the carpark outside East Perth's Tranby Centre last week, and when a nearby business owner tried to film it, he says he was threatened. Some local workers are concerned about their safety and say anti-social behaviour has increased since the Centre's opening hours were extended.
