Plus we farewell a podcasting great

Julia & Jez have some good news | Ladies, it’s never been a better time to powder our noses. Well, mostly if you’re in Tasmania, but still, what a week! Mona is hanging Picasso artworks in the women’s toilets — a power move I thoroughly approve of — conservative politicians in the UK are tangled up in an own-goal betting scandal right before election day, and Julian Assange is finally free! Even working in a newsroom, it’s so easy to get swamped by the firehose of information coming at us every day. Not across it all? You’re not stupid, you’re just human. That’s the idea behind Not Stupid, a new podcast co-hosted by myself and Jeremy Fernandez. Every Wednesday, Jez and I will unpack the stories in your feed so they make sense (to us and to you!). The stories that matter, the ones that make us think, and, especially the stuff that’s made us smile. We hope you’ll join us as we make this new podcast, we'd love to have you along for the ride. — Julia Baird, Co-host of Not Stupid |
