Last night I placed a bid on it of about $1000, thinking I could sell it for $1200-1500. It’s an extraordinary ORIGINAL WW2 photo titled "Into the Jaws of Death", by noted photographer Robert Sargent. He brilliantly captured the US Coast Guard invasion of Normandy on June 6, 1944, with soldiers piling out of the boat and heading toward danger, death, and victory.

By the time the auction ended thephoto sold for $36,000! The Intelligent Collectors know WHY!
