This World Rotaract Week, 13-19 March, join the global movement of young leaders in action! To celebrate 49 years of Rotaract let’s do what we do be best – take action!
Here are three ways you can take action:

Serve. Organize a special service project.
Celebrate. Plan a party and have fun!
Give. Support our causes and do good in the world.

No matter how you serve, celebrate, or give this World Rotaract Week, share how you’re taking action with the global Rotaract community and join the virtual celebration! Use #WorldRotaractWeek on Instagram and Twitter to be featured on our hashtag wall.

Taking action

Join the world’s largest service event, Global Youth Service Day!

This 21-23 April, young leaders from around the world will come together for the largest service event in the world, Global Youth Service Day. Show how Interact and Rotaract clubs around the world contribute to this year’s theme of Youth-led Solutions to Real World Problems. Utilize the GYSD learning center to plan a project, post it on the global map, and promote it on social media with #GYSD.

International Women’s Day

On 8 March the United Nations recognizes International Women’s Day to raise awareness and inspire action to address gender inequality around the world. As one of the Sustainable Development Goals for 2030, gender equality and women and girl’s empowerment are top priorities in the world. Encourage your club to organize an awareness event and show your support this International Women’s Day!

Spotlight on service: Ready 2 Succeed

Rotaractors mentor high school students in transition to university

The Rotaract Club of Birmingham, Alabama, USA launched a two-year program in 2014 to help high schools in their community prepare for college. “Ready 2 Succeed” not only focused on the hard skills, such as test prep and mock interviews, but offered quarterly social events for Rotaractors to develop bonds with their mentees. The project was awarded a regional 2016 Rotaract Outstanding Project Award and the project is featured in this month’s edition of the The Rotarian. Read more about this outstanding project.

Join us 9-10 June for the Presidential Peace Conference at the Georgia World Congress Center. We’ll celebrate our work on the underlying causes of conflict and our successes in making peace a priority, while also looking ahead to opportunities to continue our commitment.
