| | Trump and Biden win New Hampshire primaries | Donald Trump and President Joe Biden have won the New Hampshire primaries. The former president clinched his second straight victory in his quest for the 2024 GOP nomination after knocking out the rest of the field with a commanding win in Iowa. GOP rival Nikki Haley, meanwhile, came up short in her effort to capitalize on her strength with independent and anti-Trump voters eager for a fresh voice to lead the party. Biden prevailed even though he wasn’t on the ballot. His supporters mounted a write-in campaign on his behalf to avoid a loss, even though the contest awards no delegates because it violates the national party rules he pushed for. | |

| What else we're watching: | Minneapolis City Council advances cease-fire resolution for Israel-Hamas war. The council voted 9-3, with one abstention, to send the resolution on to the full council meeting on Thursday. Opponents argued that city council members should focus on local issues and not weigh in on international issues. Closing time? No, it’s Oscar time for Minnesotan Dan Wilson. Minnesotan Dan Wilson was nominated for an Oscar on Tuesday for his work on the movie “American Symphony.” Wilson is known for being in the Minneapolis rock band Semisonic, where he wrote “Closing Time,” which earned him a Grammy nomination. Hunters and ranchers demand wolf delisting at Willow River meeting. Currently, wolves are considered a threatened species in Minnesota, meaning they can only be killed in self-defense. Federal agents are also allowed to trap wolves that prey on livestock or pets. In Minnesota’s northeast, Jen Schultz tries again to unseat Rep. Stauber. Schultz lost to Republican U.S. Rep. Pete Stauber by 15 points in 2022. But in kicking off a new campaign Tuesday, Schultz said this time will be different because she entered earlier than last go-round. She also pointed to her bipartisan work at Minnesota’s Capitol, where she represented part of Duluth for eight years. Exclusive: The Education Department says it will fix its $1.8 billion FAFSA mistake. The U.S. Department of Education says it will fix a mistake that would have hurt low-income students, lowering their financial aid. Wild beat Capitals 5-3 for 3rd straight win. Eleven players had points for the Wild, including a goal from Brock Faber, and Filip Gustavsson made 31 saves for his third straight win. Minnesota has won three in a row and four of five after losing eight of nine. The FTC bars TurboTax maker Intuit from advertising 'deceptive' free services.
