| | For more than 20 years Micronesians have made Milan their home | The Micronesian community in Minnesota has boosted Milan’s once declining population and brought a new energy to town. Their presence has boosted the economy and infused youth into an aging populace. According to data from the 2020 U.S. Census, Micronesians made up 57 percent of Milan’s population of 428. The town’s numbers peaked in the 1940 census with 624 residents and trended downward until it hit its lowest number, 326, in 2000. “It’s a peaceful town. It’s not crowded. And you feel safe with your kids roaming around town, and we feel safe,” Nelisa Raymond said. “Yeah, that’s what I love about Milan.” | |

| | Wolves beat Mavericks 105-100 to keep NBA Finals hopes alive | The Minnesota Timberwolves held off the Dallas Mavericks 105-100 on Tuesday night to avoid a sweep in the Western Conference finals. The Wolves stayed alive in their first trip to the conference finals in 20 years, and just the second in the franchise's 35 seasons. Now third-seeded Minnesota heads home for Game 5 on Thursday night to see if it can make the series even more interesting against No. 5 seed Dallas.
