The rain flooded streets and basements across the Iron Range and washed out some local roads. Here’s where to go across Minnesota to join in on the festivities. 🐚 Hill Annex State Park closure means end to public fossil digs at Hill Annex Paleontology Project. Co-founder and paleontologist John Westgaard said that the closure of the state park is a loss, as it was the last publicly accessible fossil site in Minnesota. ⚾ Willie Mays, Giants’ electrifying ‘Say Hey Kid,’ has died at 93. The center fielder, who played for the Minneapolis Millers, was baseball’s oldest living Hall of Famer. His over-the shoulder catch of a long drive in the 1954 World Series is baseball’s most celebrated defensive feat. 🏛️ New charges in anti-violence effort target Minneapolis gang. More alleged gang members are facing federal gun and drug charges as part of an ongoing crackdown.
