Tim Walz’s fate on the presidential ticket could be decided as early as next week. The Democratic National Convention Rules Committee, co-chaired by Walz, approved a plan Wednesday that gives presidential candidates until Saturday to declare they’re running and submit the necessary show of support to move ahead. With Vice President Kamala Harris expected to top the Democratic presidential ticket in November, the Trump campaign is pointing to a nonprofit Minnesota bail fund in an effort to attack Harris’ record on crime. 🏛️ Biden, in Oval Office address, says it was time to 'pass the torch.' President Biden addressed his decision to abandon his race for a second term, telling Americans, “the best way forward is to pass the torch to a new generation.” 🧑⚖️ Edina sued after police subdue man in mental health crisis. The man filed a lawsuit in federal court arguing that his constitutional rights were violated by Edina police. His family wants closure for an incident that’s haunted their son, affected his long-term health and eroded their trust in law enforcement. 🎨 Art Hounds: Judy Ofronio’s organic sculptures. Art Hounds are members of the Minnesota arts community.
