South Minneapolis playwright and poet William Nour recommends “Returning to Haifa” by Pangea World Theater. This is a U.S. premiere of a play based on a novella by Palestinian author Ghassan Kanafani.

Fashion show from international Hmong Thai designers premieres in St. Paul. The Hmong Thai Fashion Show is the first international show St. Paul’s Center for Hmong Arts and Talent is hosting. Six brands will be featured in the show, which is expected to draw about 400 people.
'Earth is our mother': Minnesota farm addresses climate change by reintroducing bison, Ojibwe horses. It’s a waterlogged spring after a snowy winter, but the growing season is almost upon us. It’s a busy time of year for farmers like David Wise, who is juggling quite a few projects, including reintroducing bison and Ojibwe horses to his farm in Northern Minnesota.
A play written more than 2,000 years ago gets a modern, Minnesota twist. Author Anne Burt's novel “The Dig” wrestles with the age-old issues of power and control underlying very modern realities of immigration and urban development in a small fictional Minnesota town named Thebes.
Rod Adams endured years of hardships because of a marijuana conviction. Now, Minnesota could legalize the drug. Adams’ felony, which he received at age 17 as a juvenile, prevented him from renting an apartment until he was 26. He also had trouble finding work, and often took thankless jobs like washing dishes.
